FAMILY & FRIENDS

Confidentiality
We know that friends and family want to be assured of their loved one’s well-being, and we encourage family contact and reunification whenever possible! If you are seeking contact with someone you think is in one of our programs, please understand that we can’t confirm if they are here.

Protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and safety of the people we serve will always be paramount. For that reason, Harbour Light does not confirm or deny whether specific individuals are (or have been) in our programs.

We can take messages, so that if your loved one is in our program, the information can be relayed to them and they may choose to contact you.

Family Referrals
If someone you love is living with substance use disorder, we encourage you to support them through the referral and intake process for detox or treatment! They need to drive their own decision to seek recovery, and participate actively in the intake process. We do not participate in surprise interventions. If your loved one is currently incarcerated, with their authorization we can work with you to relay information to arrange a referral to treatment.
